Project Narrative
The site is located at Udall Park in Tucson, Arizona. The main goal of reworking Udall Park is to make the site usable at any time of the day at any point in the year. In order to do this multiple activities should be added to the site. First of all fire pits will be added to give people a space to relax after the sun goes down and or during the cold winter atmosphere. Next, more sports courts will be added, including basketball courts which is a very popular sport. By adding more activities, hopefully, more people (from children to elderly) will come to Udall Park throughout the year (during the day and night).

There will also be mesquite trees throughout the park, which will tell a story of its own. By looking at the mesquite trees people will be able to see the change throughout the different seasons (thus because the mesquite looks different in all four seasons). Such as when the mesquite begins to grow its leaves, it means the cold season (winter) is over, showing the start of Spring.

An existing site that inspired the playground is Driehoekspark in Rotterdam in the Netherlands.

Precedent 2
The image above depicts part of the Oregon Desert Trail which is a trail that is about 750 miles long. Located near Bend, Oregon and near the border of Idaho at Lake Owyhee State Park. The type of trail depicted here is the type of trail meant to be placed in the south end of the site for Udall Park. (Image from Treeline Review)
